FYP 2,,WEEK 13:FINAL CIRCUIT

Objective:to know how prototype circuit testing

Procedure 2:
1.      All the equipments are well arranged on the position
2.      Terminal +ve and –ve of DC Motor is connected to the relay circuit
3.      Connect the RFID reader to the PIC circuit
4.      Connect the battery
5.      Touch/close the RFID tag to the RFID reader

                                                                                  Figure 1: Final circuit

For this chapter tell you about all the measurement circuit testing was done in laboratory and final project testing as well. In order to avoid using too much time to troubleshoot the circuit, the parameter of the component were referred to the datasheet. This is to make sure the application of the component is suitable for the circuit requirement. All the datasheet is attached to the Appendix Section.

Other than that, during testing the circuit with RFID reader has more sound from buzzer. When placed the RFID tag on the RFID reader, this project working as shown below.
  •             Power LED (Red) will turn ON (RFID reader)
  •             Buzzer will sound (RFID reader)
  • \        LED (Red) will turn ON (PIC and relay circuit)
  •          Buzzer will sound (PIC and relay circuit)

This happened because there is an internal buzzer build inside the RFID reader. However, almost all types of RFID reader build with an internal buzzer and LED. Thus, can make the simple schematic circuit with not provided buzzer and LED in PIC and relay circuit to reduce more sound from buzzer. However, overall this project its fine even have more buzzer and LED.

Dealing with RFID tag in this project will always dealing with small, short and limited read distance. Read distance for RFID tags about10cm. RFID tag reads and read ranges may be inconsistent. Thus, the RFID tag should very close to the RFID reader so that the RFID tag can work. Nevertheless, this project only applied to the layout that’s why used RFID tag with short read distance. However, RFID tag has to interface to the RFID reader because they are related. If want to apply this project to the real big building try to find RFID tag and RFID reader with suitable specification. Low cost RFID readers have a short read range and Long range readers require more power and cost much more.

As a result, between DC motor and vibrator, DC motor is chosen as an output. This is because the        vibrator has two small wires as a connector. It is very difficult to cut the wire and solder or it may

cause and damage the vibrator fail to work.
